This unframed, original print shows a row of pines, which stand above the Dartmoor valley I live in. It is one of an edition of 100 printed on 250gsm Somerset Satin paper with Caligo Safewash inks.

I often catch sight of these beautiful pines when I’m walking near my house or visiting a neighbour. They mark the end of rough pasture farmland and the beginning of the moor. I feel like they watch over where I live, as well as mark the start of wilder country. When I first came to see my house, we stopped by them on the way home and looked back down into the valley and the woods, wondering if we’d be lucky enough to move here.
