This unframed, handmade print was made by me in my studio in the Dartmoor National Park in Devon. It is one of a variable limited edition of 90, which means that there will only be 90 printed, but there may be several different background colours.
The background to this version of the print was made using a blend of grey and orange inks rolled on to a second plate. The tree plate was then printed on top.

Because all my prints are handmade, they may vary slightly in colour and tone from the photograph.
The moorland of Dartmoor is dotted with hawthorns like this, which have survived the grazing sheep to grow into contorted shapes, battered by the wind and rain. They are magical trees.
